Old Dominion University
Science Quad
Norfolk, VA
Completed 2008

InSites has had the distinct privilege of working on the Old Dominion University main campus for over a decade, under a term landscape architecture contract and on project specific teams.  Our role in the transformation from a car-centric commuter campus to a pedestrian oriented urban green campus is evident in key key spaces, from the traditional core to the new Villages. Award winning projects include the Science Quad, Physical Sciences Building, and the Systems Research and Analysis Building.  Additional built projects include the gateway College of Education, Scholarship House, the Batten Arts and Letters Building, Diehn II Performing Arts Center expansion, and the Goode Theater in the University Village.  A new Child Study Center and associated infant and toddlers’ play yard is currently under construction.
