InSites transportation related experience includes streetscape development, planning and design for pedestrians, cyclists and other alternate modes of transportation, as well as traffic calming strategies, such as those implemented at the Old Beach neighborhood at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. One of the most valuable skills that we bring to each project is the ability to work with diverse groups to consolidate their goals, concerns and individual standards into effective plans and successful design solutions. Our high profile transportation projects include the Lesner Bridge replacement project in Virginia Beach, Hampton Roads Transit Southside Maintenance Facility, the I-69 Tier II Environmental Studies in Bloomington, IN, and the Slocum Road Physical Security Compliance (secured entry road) for the main base entrance for MCAS Cherry Point, NC. Other related projects include: the Elbow Road corridor and Witchduck Road Phase 2 in Virginia Beach; Downtown Streetscape Handbook update, Broad Creek Streetscapes, Hampton Boulevard Corridor Study, 43rd Street Streetscape Concept and Five Points Community Streetscape Master Plan for the City of Norfolk. We have also completed streetscape planning projects for the USAF Air Combat Command.
